Terms of Sale — Digital Templates
Last updated 13 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you buy downloadable spreadsheet templates ("Templates") from the Commercial Intelligence Partners shop ("CIP", "we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at info@commercialintelligencepartners.co.uk. If you also use our subscription Service, our Terms of Service apply to that separately.
2. Your order
Each product page describes the Template, its format and its compatibility. When you place an order, you are offering to buy the Template. A contract is formed when your payment is accepted and we confirm your order on screen and by email. We may decline an order, for example if a price or description has been shown in error, and in that case any payment will be refunded in full.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Payment is taken securely by Stripe at checkout; your card details are never seen or stored by CIP.
4. Delivery
Templates are digital content, supplied only by download or, where stated, as a Google Sheets copy. There is no physical product. Once your payment is accepted, you can access your Template immediately from the confirmation page, and we email you a link. If you create a free CIP account using the same email address, your purchases remain available to download again from your account.
5. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because Templates are digital content supplied straight away, before you pay we ask you to agree that delivery can begin immediately and to acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once it begins. We sell Templates only on these terms. If you would rather keep your 14-day right to cancel, please do not complete the purchase. This does not affect your rights if a Template is faulty (see section 6).
6. Faulty or incorrectly described Templates
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a Template does not meet these standards, please contact us and we will repair or replace it. If we cannot do that within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a refund of some or all of the price. Your statutory rights are not affected by anything in these terms. For information about your rights, you can contact Citizens Advice.
7. Compatibility
Templates are built for Microsoft Excel 2016 or later and generally also open in Google Sheets and Apple Numbers; each product page states its specific requirements. Please check these before you buy. A Template not working in software that is not listed as supported is not a fault.
8. Licence to use
Each purchase gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Template within your own business or household. You may adapt it for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish it, or share it with anyone outside your business, whether on its own or as part of another product. We (or our licensors) keep all intellectual property rights in the Templates.
9. Using the Templates
Templates are tools to help you organise and analyse your own figures. The results depend on the data you enter, and they are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.
10. Our liability
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach, but not for loss that is not foreseeable. If you buy as a business, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business or data, and our total liability to you for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded. If defective digital content that we supply damages a device or other digital content belonging to you, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation, as the law requires.
11. Complaints
If you have a problem with a purchase, please email info@commercialintelligencepartners.co.uk and we will aim to resolve it within 14 days.
12. General
Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live. Business buyers agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
