Cash runway calculator

Cash runway is how many weeks your cash would last if things carried on as they are. It is your cash divided by your weekly burn, which is your weekly outgoings minus any weekly income. If income covers outgoings there is no burn and no runway to count.

Country
Bank balance you could use to pay bills.
Wages, suppliers, rent, energy, loan payments: everything that leaves each week.
Average takings that come in each week.

Enter your cash and weekly outgoings to see how long it lasts.

What good looks like

There is no single right number, but many advisers suggest keeping enough cash to cover several weeks of fixed costs, and more if your trade is seasonal. Quiet periods, tax bills (VAT or GST) and rent quarter days can all arrive at once.

This is a simple estimate that assumes outgoings and income stay flat. Use a cautious income figure, and check it against your own cash flow forecast.
